statement
I believe that modern life in surveillance capitalism has made us afraid of intimacy and genuine connection with others. Everything is overly recorded and pathologized. The fear of appearing vulnerable effectively neuters us and deters us from systemic disruption and change. There is a need to rupture the mundane. I seek to celebrate disruption, spontaneity, and authenticity through photography and image creation. I am drawn to sarcasm, camp, and excess. My work is as serious as it is funny, and aims to both fluster and excite the audience.
