ABOUT

Too many images exist. Our entire reality is now images, objects and people becoming a vast collection of signals referencing something else. Truth and form collapse. I can no longer discern who I am truly and what I’m reflecting from the things around me, if such a distinction exists. I exploit this phenomenon within my work, examining the implications of what we choose to look at, and the power that images have over us. Instead of passively viewing images, I process what I see and then bring them back into the world, now charged with my own sensibilities. They are transformed into something else meant to be diffused into the world through reproduction. Each reproduction is an answer without a question. An answer for imaging queer futures and community. An answer for injustice. An answer for desire and intimacy. The dissemination of these objects is crucial to build networks for discussion, to pull others to question the answers I’ve posed. Then maybe the images will start to feel like real life again.
